Description

The plate features two images. The image on the left shows a man in knight's armor pursuing three men down a dirt road. Several rocks are hailing down on the three men running away. Text below the image reads, "The guards were routed." The right image shows a man jumping off a ledge. A helmet is flying in the air behind the jumping man, apparently thrown by someone. Text above the image reads, "He leaped the ledge at the side of the road." Both images were most likely used for Stories of Don Quixote edited by James Baldwin (1910).
