American Book Company Production Plates Collection

The American Book Company Production Plates Collection contains images used in the publication of educational books by the American Book Company and its predecessors, Van Antwerp, Bragg and Co., A.S. Barnes and Co., D. Appleton and Co., and Iveson, Blakeman and Co. These books were published for the elementary, secondary, and collegiate levels between 1801 and 1971. The production plates span all subject matters and include illustrations, figures, and photographs. Please note that the digitized images are reference quality; requests for higher quality images can be submitted to the Special Collections Research Center's Public Services.
