Antique Comb Collector's Club (AC3) Collection
The Antique Comb Collector's Club (AC3) Collection consists of an assortment of material relating to the club's history. These include an account of the founding of the club, a membership roster from the mid-2000s, copies of the first and last newsletter, a bibliography of resources, and more. The Antique Comb Collector's Club (AC3) was formed in 1985 by enthusiasts Betty Miller and Doris Eff to bring together those interested in antique combs and hair ornaments, enabling them to exchange information and research, and share their passion for these collectible items. The AC3 records are housed at the Special Collections Research Center along with the papers of notable authors and members who contributed to the club’s activities and documentation such as Belva Green, Mary Bachman, and Glenn Beall. The club was active until 2013.
The original materials are held by the Special Collections Research Center at Syracuse University Libraries. Use Libraries Search for the Antique Comb Collector's Club newsletters and the finding aid for the Antique Comb Collectors Club Collection.
